Today the habit of drinking tea is inexorably linked to the British, despite the fact that they arrived fairly late on the tea scene in historical terms. The first mention of tea in English literature was actually a translation of a Dutchman's travels to the east. Tea was first brought to England via the Dutch but with the increase of the drink's popularity and the establishment of tea as a lucrative business venture, the British government forbade importing products from non-British ships. This blend of Ceylon and Assam blacks makes for a spicy and stimulating cup of coppery tea, with or without milk.
